SACS provides the following Administrative and Auxiliary Services.

• Billing related
SACS billing is now paperless. Each month an electronic copy of a group's SACS billing is e-mailed to the group's PI and any known administrative personal for the group. There is now a web interface that allows either group PIs or administrative personal with a SACS account to view current and past billing information.

Auxiliary functions

• E-mail services:
Individual SACS accounts come with e-mail that has no attachment size limitations, zip, jar and tar files are allowed, a number of different e-mail clients are allowed, IMAP and POP protocols are supported, virus and spam filtering is provided and web browser access to e-mail (http://mail.cgl.ucsf.edu).

Vacation e-mail notices can be established through the use of options in the web browser used for e-mail access.

• Poster Printing:
A SACS group subscription includes 8 linear feet of free poster printing each month. Additional poster footage is printed at a rate of $5.00 a linear foot. Posters to be printed should be attached in an e-mail sent to posterprint@cgl.ucsf.edu The contents of this e-mail should contain the name of the SACS PI whose account is being used, the final physical size of the poster and contact information for the poster's sender (this is in case there are printing problems).

SACS groups can have web site or wiki hosting if desired.
