How can I check or increase my disk quota?
If you see a message (at login, or when you attempt to save a file or email message) that says:
"disk quota exceeded"
then we should increase your disk quota on socrates.
To check your quota of disk space, type quota then return at the socrates prompt:
socr:<1> quota <ret>
You should see this:
Disk quotas for user jdoe (uid 3930): Filesystem blocks quota limit grace files quota limit grace /home/socr/c 2952 3000 3100 451 1300 1500 |
To request a disk quota increase on socrates, please contact SACS:

Important: When your lab's disc usage exceeds the 100MB quota, there are additional charges.
