SACS is a recharge service. In addition to your recharge number, we require the following:

1. Name
2. Title
3. Lab
4. Department
5. Campus box number
6. Phone and room numbers for both office and lab
7. Fax number

You may also indicate an administrator to receive a copy of the monthly billing statement:

To subscribe:

• We are located at Mission Bay, rooms N453G or N476A of Genentech Hall

The monthly charges cover:

• One account for each user in the lab
• Daily consulting hours
• Periodic seminars in room GH N453.
• Prearranged lab or group seminars
• Up-to-date sequence data libraries
• Maintenance and upgrades for both hardware and software
• Email and web based services
• Program documentation
• Daily file backups
• 10 GB of disk space per lab
• 50GB network-accessible disk (not backed up) per lab
• Two standard-sized poster 3' x 4' per month per lab
• No charges for cpu time
• Secure web server
• User homepage

Available software includes:

• GCG (Wisconsin) Package
• Multiple Alignment software; Clustal and PIMA
• Database searches with BLAST and FASTA
• Primer picking with either OSP or the Whitehead Institute's primer program
