A monthly fixed charge ($120.00/lab group) covers the following:

• 1 login/password account for each computer user in the lab
• Daily consulting office hours
• Periodic seminars in the electronic classroom (GH N453)
• Customized lab-group seminars
• Up-to-date sequence data libraries
• Software maintenance and upgrades
• Hardware maintenance and upgrades
• Email and internet services
• Program documentation
• Daily file backups to permanent storage
• 10 GB disk file storage (backed up) per lab*
• 50 GB of network-accessible disk (not backed up) per lab
• 2 standard-sized poster (3' x 4') per month**

*A byte of disk storage holds one character and each lab gets 10,000,000 gigabytes (10 GB) of disc space, which translates to ten million megabases of DNA/Protein sequence data. When a group's total storage exceeds 10 GB, there is an additional charge of $0.005/KB.

Additional posters will be charged at a rate of $5/linear foot. So another 3' x 4' poster would cost $20.00.

Each user in your group should have a login name and password. The variable charges, counted for all members of your group, will be enumerated and mailed to the PI.
